Government Agencies and Organizations are looking for ways to cut costs, increase productivity and contribute to a greener environment, all while maintaining the highest levels of security. The Neubus (AV-6000) Cloud Scanner
enables CJIS-compliant FIPS140-2 security and offers complete versatility, allowing users to scan without a
workstation and off the agency network.
SUPPORTING THE REMOTE WORKER.
In today’s current landscape, organizations essential in maintaining the wellbeing of the people, such as
government agencies, are challenged to keep operations running but with increased demand and fewer resources. To ease this transition, help with employee safety and balance operations with both in office and remote professionals, Neubus is helping businesses better adapt to today’s non-traditional work environments and remain productive.
According to a recent report from IDC, federal, state and local levels of the U.S. government have been affected
by stay-at-home orders, the closure of nonessential services and the demand for new pandemic services
to ensure public health and safety. Inherently, government organizations have been forced to make swift technology choices in support of these efforts – from investing in collaboration platforms to network
resilience. Now, there is a specialized need for governments to prioritize technology spend and projects.
For the hard-working employees responsible for maintaining essential programs, access to an office
document scanner is key. Neubus’ (AV-6000) Network Scanner allows government employees to manage
and process documents that require organizing, scanning, saving, and sharing.
LOCKED-DOWN SCAN OPTIONS.
Desktop scanners traditionally connect to a desktop workstation. The user launches the scanning of a document through another application on the computer, which activates the scanner to acquire the image and bring it into the application.
The problem with this process which has been in place for decades is the lack of security and auditability
of the process. The user has full access to scan the document to any application, or to an email address, a
thumb drive, and other options. This lack of control causes great concern for many agencies today, especially when dealing with sensitive or confidential information.
The Neubus Secure Cloud Scanner addresses these security vulnerabilities head-on. First, the Neubus Network scanner does not attach to a local workstation
computer; it is a stand-alone network device. It can be plugged directly into the network via an ethernet cable, or it can join a wi-fi network. Not only does this control where the scanned documents are sent, it eliminates the need for the agency IT department to manage device drivers or user access controls.
With the Neubus Network Scanner, the documents scanned can only be transmitted securely to the Neubus
vBox cloud environment, with full auditability. All other destinations (email, thumb drive, etc.) are not available.
